Mayor and Council...

Message from Mayor Terri Glenn...

Fellow Citizens, I consider it an honor and privilege to serve as Bogart’s Mayor. I have lived in Bogart for 23 years with my husband Lamar and my two sons, Thad and Bradley. My favorite thing to do is watch them play sports. I have owned New Creations Hair Studio for 24 years. I am an active member in the Bogart Jr. Women’s Club.

As I enter into my second term as Mayor I would like to express my gratitude for the support and encouragement I have received over the past four years. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving with you to make Bogart a place we can be proud to call home. I encourage you to read the monthly newsletter and become involved in the activities that are offered. I have enjoyed getting to know many of you and look forward to getting acquainted with those I have not yet met. I feel confident that myself and the Council members will continue to work hard to lead the city in a positive direction. I am excited to see where the next four years will lead us. My desire is to see us all Bring Our Goals And Resources Together to make BOGART a great place we can all be proud to call home.

Thank you for visiting our web site. I hope you will enjoy it and find it helpful. If I can ever be of assistance to you please don’t hesitate to contact me. My email is NewC84@aol.com or you can contact me at City Hall.

Terri Glenn

City Council...

Linda Turman

I am originally from Virginia where I met my husband of 40 years at our place of employment. We moved to Bogart when my husband got transferred to a new plant in Athens. My faith as a Christian has been my stronghold in being a mother and serving others. Other interests include the welfare of animals, flower/vegetable gardening, knitting and being an advocate for others who need assistance. I love Bogart and look forward in serving our Citizens in helping our Community and city to become a better place to live in the future.

TL Turman

TL has been residing in Bogart for 39 years at the same residence with his wife Linda. They have one son, Lee.  We are active members of Watkinsville First Baptist Church. TL is a native of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia who enjoys vegetable gardening and section hiking the Appalachian Trail. You can reach TL at 770 725-2126 or tlturman@charter.net.

John Larkin

My wife and I have lived in Bogart for 5 1/2 years. We have two children under the age of 5. I work for the University of Georgia and a commercial cleaning service. I am honored to be on Council and am currently serving as Mayor-Pro-Tem. I have been tasked with bringing sewer to downtown and the streetscape project. It is a project I am enjoying and look forward to seeing the work come together allowing us the opportunity to revitalize downtown for our residents.
