Bogart offers a number of events throughout the year which allow our citizens to take part in and enjoy their community. Check the City Calendar often for specific dates.

BOGART SPRING FLING is Saturday, April 16th on Main Street….9am-3 pm. Hooty-Hoo Barbecue will have a great selection to please your taste buds, and craft vendors include jewelry, wooden toys, decorative items from wood, handmade children’s clothes and aprons, t-shirts, rustic items for the home, a children’s book author, Scentsy flameless candles, and much more! Friends Bookstore will also be having a huge booksale! Make plans now to join us for fun, food and fellowship in beautiful downtown Bogart!

Saturday, December 10th,  the Bogart Junior Women’s Club and the Friends Library will be sponsoring “Bookin it with Santa”  at the Bogart Library from 1-3PM.
Children will get to visit with Santa, get a book, enjoy snacks and make a holiday decoration. Great Holiday Fun!

The Bogart Historical Society invites you to the Annual Veterans Day Program on November 12th at the Historical Agricultural Center at 11AM. Pastor Obie Bradford will provide the opening prayer. LaChandra Burgess will sing, and other guests include Troup 80 Boy Scouts, ABATE, PGR, The American Legion Riders and several other Veteran’s groups.

The Annual Trunk R Treat event will be held on Halloween Night, October 31st, from 5:30- 7:00 PM. The event will be held in the Library Parking lot, and sponosored by the Bogart Junior Women’s Club, Friends of the Library and the Bogart Library. 

Plan to decorate the trunk of your car and enjoy trick or treating fun, food, and activities.

The General Election Poll Site for Bogart Citizens will be at the Bogart Community Center from 7AM-7PM on November 8, 2016.

Early in person voting will be held from October 17, 2016- November 4, 2016. See the link below for early voting locations.

The Fall Dumpster Days event will be held on Saturday, October 8th and Sunday, October 9th. Dumpsters will be placed in the parking lot in front of City Hall. Cards to eligible Citizens have been mailed. Please bring your card with you for verification of eligibility before unloading. Contact City Hall if you have any questions or concerns.

The Bogart Fall Festival will not be held in September 2016 as usual. Look for details about the Fall Festival in September 2017.

The decision was made because the City Sewer expansion construction will soon be in progress along Main Street, South Burson Ave., to the Bogart ball fields, the Bogart Library, and continuing to the County connection near 316.

The First Baptist church of Bogart, Bogart Christian Church and Bogart United Methodist Church will all be sponsoring the Bogart Community Vacation Bible School at the First Baptist Church of Bogart at 190 Jefferson Ave. in Bogart on
Monday, July 11 – Friday, July 15th from 6-8 PM each night. This years them is “Suberged” – Finding Truth Below the Surface.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 30th. Please visit the display of white crosses on the lawn on Main street to honor those in the military who gave their life to defend our country and our freedoms.
Thank you to Tom Link, Carter Seward, and Boy Scout Troup 80 for all their hard work and help preparing the crosses and the grounds for this Memorial display.

 

Bogart’s Spring Dumpster Days will be held on on Main Street
April 30th and May 1st, 2016 from 7AM- 7 PM.
Get Ready to clean out your unwanted miscellaneous materials and Debris from your home. Post cards will be mailed to Bogart Citizens the week prior to this event. You must present this post card to onsite officials to access the dumpsters.
